About the Role
A well-established international law firm is looking for a HR Manager to be a part of its Singapore office. This role serves as the main point of contact for the management team in the Singapore office, delivering effective people solutions for the business, partners, and employees. The role also includes managing a small team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Ensure compliance with Singapore’s employment regulations and frameworks governing law firms.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with firm standards and local requirements.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategies.
Manage and mentor a lean team, ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day operations.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
Provide guidance on complex HR issues, ensuring clear, practical, and compliant solutions.
Collaborate closely with HR counterparts in global offices and HQ to align local practices with international standards.
Requirements
At least 7 years of relevant experience, with prior exposure to law firms or professional services.
Strong knowledge of Singapore employment regulations and frameworks governing law firms.
Proven ability to manage HR operations and lead a small team in a fast-paced, international environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational capability.
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a collaborative team culture.
