About the Role
Our client is a leading UK law firm with a well-established insurance practice globally. Due to continued business growth, they are presently seeking a 1-2 PQE Associate to join their Singapore-based international insurance team, focusing on cyber insurance coverage matters and disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with and report to a Partner within the team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a career within a Band 1 team that is highly regarded for handling complex, high-value mandates across Financial Lines, Casualty, Credit Risk and Reinsurance throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Work alongside Partners on sophisticated, high-stakes insurance coverage matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare documents, opinions and client correspondence.
• Support the management of contentious matters and litigation, including arbitration proceedings and coordination of local counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Play an active role in client engagement and business development efforts for both existing and prospective clients.
Key Requirements
• Singapore-qualified with a strong grounding in private practice at a recognised law firm.
• Proven ability in commercial litigation and/or arbitration.
• Clear and effective communicator, both in writing and verbally, with a strong academic record.
• Some familiarity with insurance matters is an advantage, though not essential.
• A collaborative team player who brings energy, rigour and a positive attitude to their work.
